There are amazing people out there, willing to leave everything behind for the chance and opportunity to be in America and have a chance at the AMERICAN DREAM.
They are called Immigrants and some of them cross mountains and even deserts to be here in the United states. In case you did not know, there are some considered “Invisible” but my father told me, they are all “Immigrandes” regardless of their immigration status.
I definitely agree with my father. He spend 15 years undocumented and he told me the following.
“There isn’t anything stronger than the heart of an immigrant, specially an undocumented immigrant”.
This NFT represents their departure from their motherland, journey and arrival to the land of opportunity, the United States of America.

NOTE: “Immigrandes”: Immi is Immigrants – Grandes is big in Spanish / larger than life.
Some immigrants only have the chance to come to our country crossing the dessert.
This is one of the most dangerous things humans can do, but in the name and pursue of the AMERICAN DREAM everything is acceptable.
Unfortunately, NOT all of them make it to the land of the free and die trying due to:
- Hunger
- Dehydration
- Tiredness
- Isolation
- Animal attacks
Or simply the own people trying to cross them through the desert kill them. A pretty sad story, I don’t want to tell anybody but someone is gotta do it.

Even though, they may talk to each other once or twice per month. It’s not the same; I can not imagine a child always dreaming to kiss Mom or Dad and not being able to do so. This is the saddest thing in the whole wide world, but I guess in the name of a better life. We’ve got to do what we have to do.
Trust me, as a 9-year-old, this is the most terrible thing but parents that do this are the greatest. No wonder, why my father calls them “Immigrandes” and he admires them all.

Believe or not, some of the women that cross deserts to come to AMERICA looking for better opportunities for their families are actually pregnant.
Yes! I said, pregnant and the reality is this.
Once they get caught, they have to go through their pregnancy in immigration jails. Not matter how many months they are. They just have to stay detained and up until they are ready to have their babies.
I know, this is just crazy, but unfortunately is true.
